ChatGPT Helps Florida Man Sell His Home
After letting ChatGPT to handle almost the entire selling process of his home without hiring a real estate agent, a florida homeowner is reported to sold his house in just five days.
ChatGPT created a detailed plan for the sale, including when to start packing, which rooms to repaint to increase value, how to structure the listing and also produced marketing materials for the open house and online listing. It also suggested launching the listing on Tuesday, and even drafted a contract. The listing then went live on Tuesday, March 3, and received five offers within 72 hours. By Sunday morning, a contract had already been signed.
Robert Levine of Cooper City told NBC 6 that he wanted to test whether AI could guide the entire process from start to finish rather than just helping him with a few tasks and decided to use the AI tool for the full transaction after living in the home for 15 years.
Levine said that everything else from pricing the property to organizing showings was all done by ChatGPT and only involved a lawyer to review the final legal documents. He said the result exceeded his expectations and saved him about 3% in typical agent commissions.
While levine still believes that AI tools will not fully replace real estate agents, he expects their role in the industry to grow.
“The more you use AI, the more confident you’ll become in leveraging those tools,” Levine said, adding that the AI even suggested a moving company for his next home.
